The New York Comedy Festival presents a scintillating showcase of Scottish comedy talent, hand-picked from the Glasgow International Comedy Festival. Don’t miss this chance to catch some of the hottest Scottish comedians in New York, for one night only!  No holds-barred host Bruce Devlin introduces comedy powerhouse Scott Agnew, the brilliantly dark Mark Nelson and the beautifully acerbic Wendy Wason.

Bruce Devlin
Widely regarded as one of the best comperes on the UK live scene, Bruce Devlin is famed for his electrifying, no holds barred style. Resident compere at the highly respected Stand Comedy Clubs, Bruce is also a regular at London's legendary Comedy Cafe, Jongleurs and Highlight comedy clubs. Devlin's Daily, Bruce's Edinburgh Fringe chat show earned him recognition as ‘Scotland's sharpest interviewer’ (The Guardian), and saw the biggest names on the festival queue up to appear, including Margaret Cho, Michael Urie and Caroline Rhea. Bruce contributes frequently to STV, BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio 5 Live and Channel 5.

Scott Agnew
Scott Agnew is a Glaswegian stand up comedian who is in demand as a performer all over the UK and internationally.  Fresh from his sell out and critically acclaimed Edinburgh 2012 run at The Stand Comedy Club, Scott Agnew is a stand-up and journalist with TV presenting credits and radio appearances under his belt.  He has supported HBO’s Jim Jeffries as well as UK comedy sensation Kevin Bridges at the music festival Rockness, to 12,000 raucous rock fans. TV and radio credits include: MTV Crashes… Glasgow, STV’s The Hour, BBC 5Live and BBC Radio Scotland.

Wendy Wason
Wendy is a stand-up comic and actress. She has written and performed three one-woman shows at the Edinburgh Festival and is a regular fixture on the UK comedy circuit. She performed her last show – Flashbacks – whilst nine months pregnant. Nothing fazes Wendy.
As a stand-up she has performed everywhere from Aberdeen to LA and was flown to Miami to take part in NBC’s Last Comic Standing. As an actress her career began with short films before moving into T.V and features appearing in shows like Coupling, Midsummer Murders and The It Crowd with film appearances in The Libertine and Outcast. She is a mother of three and writes not only her stand-up material but also her own blog and regularly contributes to the Huffington Post.

Mark Nelson
